If you were expecting tons of performance changes in the newest version of Mazda’s Mazda 3, you might be a bit disappointed with the 2010 edition. Most of the changed on the car are cosmetic, including a new hood scoop, “wide-eyed” front, and tail/hatch lights. Under the hood things are pretty much the same as they always were, with the FWD Mazdaspeed 3 churning out 260 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. And as always, the car comes with a six-speed manual transmission as the only available option.
Other changes in the latest Mazda 3 involve some chassis tuning and reinforcements that stiffen the car and improve handling. The wide 225/40R18 Dunlop tires are seated on brand new 18 inch wheels and tie the overall look of the vehicle together nicely. Speaking of overall look, the interior is impressive with its new wraparound dash and red carbon fiber accents. The color scheme is also applied to black leather seats with bright red accent stitching.
